'Yumm' Sauce

'Yumm' Sauce

Chef's notes

Toast your almond flour. Trust me here. Aslo you can grind up whole almonds but unless your grinder is really good the sauce will be chunky.

About the Oil. Any neutral favored oil works here. EVO is good as well but you want a neutral oil here IMO. But do shit you your taste.

This is also a base recipe I highly suggest playing around and adding extra shit to the sauce (I.E. I add some roasted garlic almost every time I make it)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Avocado Oil
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup Chickpeas cooked and drained
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup Freshly squeezed lemon
  • 1/3 cup Nutritional Yeast Flakes
  • 2 cloves Garlic crushed (or more)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Yellow Curry Powder
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro chopped
  • 3 ish spoon fulls of mayo (makes for a smoother sauce and totally optional I use avocado mayo)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Place oil, almonds, chickpeas and water into a food processor. Process until smooth.
  2. Add remaining ingredients. Process again until smooth.
  3. Store, covered (not too tightly, at first, the yeast may need to expand), in the refrigerator, until ready to use.
